(RTTNews) - Friday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the wholesale price index or WPI increased 2.1% on an annual basis in February, faster than the 1.9% growth in the previous month. Economists were looking for an increase of 2.3%. A year earlier, the WPI was down 5.7%.
On a monthly basis, the WPI rose 0.1% in February, slower than the 1.3% growth in the preceding month. Economists expected an increase of 0.3%.
