Taiwan OKs Bank Of East Asia Buy Of AIG Wealth Mgmt Unit

HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--Bank of East Asia Ltd. (0023.HK) said Friday it received approval from Taiwan's Investment Commission to buy American International Group Inc.'s (AIG) Taiwanese wealth management unit.
The Hong Kong-based lender said in a statement it expected the transaction to be completed by the end of June.
