(RTTNews) - Italy recorded a foreign trade deficit of EUR 3.1 billion in June, the government said on Thursday. This compares to a EUR 0.9 billion deficit in the same month a year ago.Exports increased by 22.8% over the same month last year, with non-E.U. exports surging 26.4%. Exports to the E.U. rose 20.1%.
Imports recorded an increase of 30.4%, resulting from an increase of 37.4% of flows from non-E.U. countries. Imports from E.U. countries were up 25.5%.
On a monthly basis, exports increased 5.6% in June, while imports rose 3.2%.
