U.K. Leading Index Rises For 15th Month

(RTTNews) - The Conference Board leading economic index for the U.K. rose 0.5% in June from May, following the 0.2% increase in the previous month, the Conference Board said on Tuesday. This marks the 15th straight month in which the leading index has risen.

The Conference Board leading index for the U.K. aggregates seven economic indicators including order book volume, volume of expected output, consumer confidence index and yield spread. Four of the seven components made positive contributions to the index.
At the same time, the Conference Board coincident economic index - a measure of current economic activity - increased 0.1% in June, after rising by 0.3% in May.
