(RTTNews) - New York University professor and renowned economist Nouriel Roubini says there is a 35-40% chance of the U.S. economy falling back into recession. Reports quoted Roubini as saying on Thursday that growth in the U.S. could slow to just 1% by the end of the year.
"The growth is so low that it feels like a recession, even if it is not technically a recession," he was quoted as saying at a conference in Seoul.
The economist's comments come after meeting notes of the Federal Reserve's September policy meeting showed that they were contemplating easing monetary policy further.
