Finnish Oct. Retail Sales Growth Slows

(RTTNews) - Finnish retail sales increased at a slower pace in October, a report by the Statistics Finland showed on Wednesday.

Retail sales value rose 4.2% year-on-year in October, but slower than a 6.5% rise in the previous month. At the same time, sales volume grew 2.7%.

Wholesale trade sales rose 7.9% annually in October and motor vehicle sales grew 24.5%. Hence, total sales increased 8.6%.
For the first ten months of the year, retail sales rose 3.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Wholesale trade grew 7.9% and motor vehicle sales rose by 17%. In total, trade sales were up 7.6% during the period.
