Irish Retail Sales Rise For Second Straight Month

(RTTNews) - Irish retail sales volume rose 0.2% month-on-month in November after rising 0.3% in October, figures released by the Central Statistical Office showed Thursday. That was the second consecutive monthly gain.
On an annual basis, retail sales growth eased to 0.9% from 1.9%. Retail sales grew for the fourth straight month.
In terms of value, retail sales fell 0.1% month-on-month following 0.6% increase in the preceding month. Compared to last year, retail sales dropped 1.1%, faster than a 0.3% decline in the previous month. Retail sales have been falling since May on an annual basis.
