(RTTNews) - Latvia's producer prices increased 8.2% year-on-year in November, the Central Statistical Bureau said Tuesday. The annual growth in prices of products sold on the domestic market was 6.7% while prices on export market climbed 10.4%.
Prices in manufacturing industry increased 7.5% annually in November, while mining and quarrying prices rose 1.6%. Producer prices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply rose 10.3%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices slipped 0.2%. Factory prices in the manufacturing industry declined 0.1%, and in mining and quarrying, prices increased 1.4%.

Production costs of utilities as well as costs of manufacture of basic metals had the biggest upward impact on prices during the month. Higher factory charges for the beverages also contributed to the increase in total industrial producer prices, the statistical office said.
On a monthly basis, producer prices slipped 0.2%. Factory prices in the manufacturing industry declined 0.1%, and in mining and quarrying, prices increased 1.4%.
