(RTTNews) - An indicator of confidence in the South Korean manufacturing sector was steady in December. The Bank of Korea's Business Survey Index, which assesses the mood of around 2,500 manufacturing companies, was unchanged at 92.
Firms' assessment of domestic demand fell to 91 in December from 92 in the prior month, while their view on export demand climbed to 93 from 92.
Meanwhile, in the non-manufacturing sector, the business confidence index edged lower to 90 from 91 in November.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, confidence in manufacturing rose by 1 point to 94 in December, while sentiment in non-manufacturing fell 4 points to 90.
