(RTTNews) - Economic expectations for Switzerland brightened up in December, results of a monthly survey by the Centre for European Economic Research in cooperation with Credit Suisse revealed Wednesday. The sentiment indicator increased by 18.4 points to minus 12.5 mark. The indicator reflects the expectations of the surveyed financial market experts regarding the economic development in Switzerland on a six month time horizon.
In December, the indicator for the assessment of the current economic situation edged up by 12.5 points to the 62.5-point threshold.
Expectations regarding the short-term interest rate picture edged down slightly compared with the November reading, with the relevant indicator dipping by 3.1 points to the 23.1 level.
