(RTTNews) - Czech manufacturing activity picked up in December to its strongest in over three years, survey data showed on Monday. The Markit-HSBC manufacturing purchasing managers' index came in at a seasonally adjusted 58.4 - the highest score since August 2007 - up from 57.3 in November. Anything above 50 indicates expansion.
The reason for the increase was higher inflow of new orders, climbing at the fastest pace in three months. New export orders also climbed at the fastest rate since September.
Stronger growth led to a further round of solid job creation in Czech factories in December.
