(RTTNews) - The seasonally adjusted manufacturing purchasing managers' index, or PMI, for Denmark climbed to 62.8 in December from 52.3 in November, data from the Purchasing and Logistics Forum/DILF showed Monday. It reached the highest level since May 2008.A PMI reading above 50 suggests expansion in the sector. The Danish manufacturing sector grew for the seventh consecutive month in December.
Industrial new orders index rose to its highest level since June 2008, while the index for storage of purchased products fell to the lowest level since June 2009. Manufacturing output slightly fell in December, but continue to signal considerable expansion.
Manufacturing employment index climbed to the highest level since June 2008.
