India's Dec Private Sector Activity Growth Slows

(RTTNews) - India's manufacturing and service sectors recorded slower expansions in activity in December, data from Markit Economics showed Wednesday.
The headline HSBC composite Purchasing Managers' Index fell to 58.9 from 61.3 in November. However, the index stayed well above the neutral 50 level, suggesting marked expansion in the private sector output.
Incoming new business received by service companies in India increased strongly in December, but the latest expansion rate eased. Despite the weaker rise in new work intakes, outstanding business advanced during December for a second consecutive month.
