(RTTNews) - South Korea's manufacturing activity regained momentum in December, survey data suggested on Monday.
The Markit-HSBC manufacturing purchasing managers' index came in at a seasonally adjusted 53.9, up from 50.2 in November. Anything above 50 indicates expansion.New orders received by South Korean manufacturers increased markedly on the back of improvements in general economic conditions, particularly in the domestic market.
New export orders also increased solidly during the month, and at the strongest pace since June.
