(RTTNews) - The Spanish leading index rose slightly in December after declining in the previous three months, data from the Conference Board showed Monday. The index has been generally declining for more than a year, although this downtrend has not been as sharp as the decline in 2008.
The leading economic index rose 0.1% to 106.8 in December. The indicator had declined 1% in November. The number of components rising was equal to the number declining in December.
The coincident index fell 0.2% in December, following a 0.1% drop in November. During the six-month span through December, the index decreased 1.7%, and none of the five components advanced.
