Steel Dynamics Inc. said late Monday that its second-quarter profit rose to $98.7 million, or 43 cents a share, from $49.2 million, or 22 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
Revenue increased to $2.08 billion from $1.63 billion last year.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research estimated a quarterly profit of 39 cents a share on revenue of $2.03 billion
