Dow suffers worst loss since June 1; eight-session losing streak is longest since 2008

U.S. stocks sank Tuesday to finish near the day's lows, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average ending lower for an eight-straight session to mark its longest losing streak since October 2008
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 265.87 points, or 2.2%, to end at 11,866.62, suffering its biggest one-day point loss since June 1 as investors continued to fret about economic growth.
The S&P 500 lost 32.89 points, or 2.6%, to end at 1,254.05, down for a seventh-straight session.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 75.37 points, or 2.8%, to 2,669.24, finishing lower for a third session in a row.
