The European Commission, International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank said in a joint statement Friday that they had made "good progress" in their fifth review of Greece's implementation of its bailout program.
The "troika" of institutions responsible for overseeing Greece's compliance with the terms of the bailout, however, said its team has "temporarily left Athens to allow [Greek] authorities to complete technical work, among other things, related to the 2012 budget and growth-enhancing structural reforms."
The troika said the team is expected to return to Athens by mid-September to continue discussions on policies needed to complete the review.
