SYDNEY (MarketWatch)
A survey by the Nikkei found that nine Japanese financial institutions had a combined exposure of 2.87 trillion yen ($37.3 billion) to five of Europe's debt-saddled nations.
The Japanese firms do not hold Greek government bonds but do hold bonds issued by other European countries.
Other exposure is via private-sector debt and credit, the report said.
