Kraft Foods to split into two companies this year

Kraft Foods said Tuesday that it will split into two companies later this year, with its North American grocery division retaining the current name while a new global snack firm will be christened next month
North American groceries generated about $18 billion in sales last year while global snacks accounted for $35 billion
The company said the latter division has a "diverse geographical profile and significant exposure to high-growth developing markets [and] expected to deliver strong revenue growth and top-tier earnings growth while paying a modest dividend."
