Earlier, Iranian state-run news reported an explosion at a pipeline in the eastern Saudi city of Awamiyah
Oil for April delivery jumped as high as $110.55 following the initial report, but scaled back to $108.87 a barrel in recent activity, much closer to its Thursday settlement of $108.84 a barrel
