BOSTON (MarketWatch)
Several of the world's most powerful nations are
expelling Syrian diplomats from their soil in protest of the recent massacre of
civilians in Syria's Houla region, CNN reported Tuesday Australia, Canada,
France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K. have all announced they plan to
expel at least some, if not all, Syrian diplomats
About 108 people, mostly
women and children, were reportedly killed in last Friday's massacre, which
international human-rights observers believe is likely the work of militia
groups supportive of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's embattled regime
Most
of the victims are believed to have been either hacked to death or shot at close
range
