1.5% in March, the biggest decline in three years, the Commerce Department
reported Wednesday
Economists surveyed by MarketWatch expected orders to fall
by 1.6%
Factory orders rose a revised 1.1% in February, down from a prior
estimate of 1.3% growth Orders for durable goods - products meant to last at
least three years - sank 4% in March
Orders for nondurable goods rose 0.5%
