The moves "are primarily based on the downgrade of the Spanish
sovereign" and reflect concerns that "Spain is forecasted to remain in recession
through the remainder of this year and 2013 compared to the previous expectation
that the economy would benefit from a mild recovery in 2013," Fitch said

Fitch degrada la solvencia de Mapfre al borde del bono basura
La agencia de calificación Fitch ha rebajado hoy dos escalones la solvencia de Mapfre, que ahora pasa a estar calificada con un aprobado bajo (BBB-), a un solo paso del grado especulativo o bono basura y con perspectiva negativa. Fitch degrada también la fortaleza financiera de sus principales filiales, que se quedan con un aprobado (BBB), tres posiciones por debajo del notable que mantenían hasta ahora (A).
