U.S. stocks finish lower on Europe uncertainty


NEW YORK (MarketWatch)
U.S. stocks finished with sizeable losses on Wednesday on uncertainty about Greek elections and after Egan-Jones Ratings Co. downgraded its sovereign rating on Spain futher into junk "After Sunday we'll know whether or not Greece remains in the euro zone," said Art Hogan, market strategist at Lazard Capital Markets LLC
"But there's very little chance that we'll know more about Spain, which is much more of a concern for us in real terms," Hogan added of the far larger European economy
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 77.42 points, or 0.6%, to 12,496.38
The S&P 500 Index  retreated 9.3 points, or 0.7%, to 1,314.88
The Nasdaq Composite lost 24.46 points or 0.9%, to 2,818.61
