Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said
that its second-quarter profit fell to $37 million, or 5 cents a
share, from $61 million, or 8 cents a share, in the year-ago period
Excluding
one-time items, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based chip maker would have reported
earnings of 6 cents a share
Revenue fell to $1.41 billion from $1.57 billion
last year
Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research estimated a quarterly profit of
7 cents a share on revenue of $1.41 billio
The company sees third-quarter
revenue decreasing sequentially by 1%, give or take 3%
