SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch)
Shares of Advanced Micro Devices fell
more than 3% in after-hours trading on Monday after the company pre-announced
its second-quarter results, saying it expects lower-than-expected revenue
AMD
said it expects revenue to decline 11% sequentially, citing "business conditions
that materialized late in the second quarter, specifically softer-than-expected
channel sales in China and Europe as well as a weaker consumer buying
environment impacting the company's [manufacturing] business."
AMD will report
results on Thursday, July 19
