Italian market regulator Consob said Friday it extended to Sept. 14 its
weeklong ban on the short-selling of bank and insurance stocks on the country's
exchange
Consob decided to extend the ban because of the ongoing conditions of
uncertainty in financial markets, the regulator said on its website
