El producto interior bruto (PIB) alemán creció un 0,3 % en el segundo trimestre de 2012 en comparación con el trimestre anterior, en el que había avanzado un 0,5 %, informó hoy la Oficina Federal de Estadística (Destatis)
En relación al mismo período del ejercicio anterior, la mayor economía europea avanzó un 0,5 % entre abril y junio (o un 1 % si se eliminan los efectos de calendario), agregó la oficina en un comunicado
Destatis subrayó en su nota que el número medio de trabajadores en activo en Alemania se elevó en el segundo trimestre del año hasta 41,6 millones de personas, lo que supone un incremento interanual del 1,3 %

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- German gross domestic product rose 0.3% on a seasonally-adjusted basis in the second quarter of 2012, compared to the first quarter, the federal statistics office, Destatis, reported Tuesday. Compared to the same quarter a year ago, GDP rose 0.5% on an unadjusted basis and 1% on a calendar-adjusted basis. Economists polled by FactSet Research were forecasting a rise of 0.2% on the quarter and 1.1% on an annual basis. Also released Tuesday, French GDP was flat in the second quarter, versus the first, according to statistics agency Insee. But that figure bettered the 0.1% decline that had been expected by economists at Dow Jones Newswires. Euro-zone GDP readings for the second quarter are also due for release Tuesday.
