Britain's annual consumer price index rose 2.6% in July from 2.4% in June, boosted largely by upward pressure on transport costs, particularly air fares, and prices for clothing and footwear, the U.K. Office for National Statistics reported Tuesday
Prices saw a 0.1% monthly rise in July
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast a flat monthly reading and a 2.4% annual rise
