Protesters in Spain clashed with police on Tuesday ahead of the release of the 2013 budget which is expected to include additional austerity measures, Reuters reported
At one point, riot police fired rubber bullets and beat protesters with truncheons, the news agency said
Spain needs to signficantly reduce its budget deficit as part of its effort to recover from its debt crisis
