Australia's third-quarter seasonally adjusted
consumer price index rose 1.2% compared to the second quarter, the Australian
Bureau of Statistics reported Wednesday
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones
Newswires had expected a rise of 1.1% in the quarter for the data series
On an
unadjusted basis, CPI climbed 1.4% in the three months to the end of September
compared to the previous quarter and 2% compared to the same quarter in the
year-ago period
