WASHINGTON (MarketWatch)
The European Central Bank should maintain its easy
monetary policy and more rate cuts may be needed, said International Monetary
Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, on Thursday
"Clearly continued, if
not further, monetary easing will be appropriate in order to sustain demand," in
the region, Lagarde said at a press conference
She also repeated that the
European Union must make progress on efforts to form a full banking union
