IMF's Lagarde: Euro-area may need more rate cuts

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch)
The European Central Bank should maintain its easy monetary policy and more rate cuts may be needed, said International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, on Thursday
"Clearly continued, if not further, monetary easing will be appropriate in order to sustain demand," in the region, Lagarde said at a press conference
She also repeated that the European Union must make progress on efforts to form a full banking union
