France consumer prices rise in May

French consumer prices rose in May as fresh food prices topped increases, data from national statistics agency Insee showed Wednesday
France's consumer price index rose 0.1% in May from April, in line with expectations of economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires
France's CPI was up 0.8% from May last year, less than forecasts for a rise of 0.9%
Fresh food prices rose 4.4% on the month, Insee said
