Apple Inc saw shipments of its Mac computers fall by double digits, as global PC sales fell again in the third quarter, according to IDC
Mac sales dropped 11% from last year's third quarter to 1.9 million, as Apple held on the No. 3 spot in the U.S. behind Hewlett-Packard and Dell Inc.
However, of the top five vendors in the U.S., including Lenovo and Toshiba, Apple was the only company to post a decline in shipments, IDC said
PC shipments fell about 8% globally, though the top vendors, Lenovo, H-P and Dell saw some growth, IDC said
