The French consumer price index fell in September, the country's statistics office said , due to declines in food prices and services tied to the summer season
Consumers in the euro zone's second-largest economy saw prices decline 0.2% on the month, while on a yearly basis they increased 0.9%, national statistics agency Insee said
Economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires forecast a 0.3% decline on the month and a 1% increase on the year
