BRUSSELS
Belgian inflation slowed further in April to its lowest level since late 2009, as energy prices continued to fall, the country's economy ministry
Consumer prices were up 0.62% on the year in April, compared with 0.89% the previous month and 0.97% in February
Inflation was at its lowest level since December 2009, when it was 0.26%
This month's inflation was driven by higher prices for fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as air fares. By contrast, electricity, natural gas and foreign holidays became cheaper, the ministry said.
