French consumer confidence slips in April

French consumer confidence fell in April, a survey from statistics agency INSEE showed                                        
The monthly survey recorded a decline in consumer confidence to 85 in April from 88 in March
That reading is well below the long-term average of 100                                        
Consumers' assessment of their ability to make significant purchases also fell by three points in April
Worries over unemployment increased during the month, the survey said
