Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa I held a coordination call on the situation in the energy sector and on efforts to eliminate the consequences of Russian strikes. The most challenging conditions remain in the capital: more than 1,400 apartment buildings in Kyiv are still without heating, and it is crucial that people in every one of these buildings receive all the support they need. Kyiv will also see an expansion of the Warmth Packages program: in the near future, distribution will reach 40,000 kits, with a significant share allocated specifically to Kyiv. Reports were delivered on the situation in the Kyiv region, in Kharkiv and other cities of the region, in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Donetsk, and Dnipro regions, as well as in Kropyvnytskyi and the region. The situation in the Kherson region was discussed separately – 6 settlements in the region are facing extremely difficult energy conditions due to constant drone strikes, creating extraordinarily challenging circumstances for restoration work. Regional authorities must ensure additional efforts in this area, both protective and recovery-related. There were also updates on Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions. I thank everyone working to scale up cross-border cooperation with Romania to increase the potential volume of electricity imports to Ukraine. I held a detailed discussion with the Minister of Energy on the situation with nuclear generation. For the Russian army, our nuclear energy facilities – including the infrastructure and grids linked to nuclear power plants – remain, in effect, constant targets. And this requires a level of response beyond what has been achieved so far. More protection is needed, as well as stronger communication with partners, so that the world does not remain silent about this threat. Together with the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Minister of Defense, we discussed the fulfillment by partners of our agreements on the supply of air defense missiles. There must be a clear schedule for receiving the relevant packages from partners, and all state institutions must be fully engaged to expedite the deliveries. There must not be situations where pauses in supplies for Ukraine practically strengthen the impact of Russian strikes. Every Russian attempt to break Ukraine and Ukrainians must be met with clear responses. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine!
