馃嚭馃嚫 THE TRUMP RULE: The Financial News today was great — GDP up 4.2% as opposed to the predicted 2.5% (and this, despite the downward pressure of the recent Democrat Shutdown!) — But in the Modern Market, when you have good news, the Market stays even, or goes down, because Wall Street's "heads" are wired differently than they used to be. In the old days, when there was good news, the Market went up. Nowadays, when there is good news, the Market goes down, because everybody thinks that Interest Rates will be immediately lifted to take care of "potential" Inflation. That means that, essentially, we can never have a Great Market again, those Markets from the time when our Nation was building up, and becoming great. Strong Markets, even phenomenal Markets, don't cause Inflation, stupidity does! I want my new Fed Chairman to lower Interest Rates if the Market is doing well, not destroy the Market for no reason whatsoever. I want to have a Market the likes of which we haven't had in many decades, a Market that goes up on good news, and down on bad news, the way it should be, and the way it was. Inflation will take care of itself and, if it doesn't, we can always raise Rates at the appropriate time — But the appropriate time is not to kill Rallies, which could lift our Nation by 10, 15, and even 20 GDP points in a year — and maybe even more than that! A Nation can never be Economically GREAT if "eggheads" are allowed to do everything within their power to destroy the upward slope. We are going to be encouraging the Good Market to get better, rather than make it impossible for it to do so. We are going to see numbers that are far more natural, and far better, than they have ever been before. We are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! The United States should be rewarded for SUCCESS, not brought down by it. Anybody that disagrees with me will never be the Fed Chairman!
馃嚭馃嚫 #USA Don Bacon: “During these failed negotiations, Russia has continued bombing Ukrainian cities w/ increasing intensity. We must play hardball by sending Ukraine the weapons it needs and imposing tough sanctions on Russia that cripple his war economy, an approach Americans overwhelmingly agree with.”

Mike Selig @MichaelSelig I am honored to be confirmed as the 16th Chairman of the @CFTC . I want to again express my gratitude to President Donald J. Trump @POTUS for placing his trust and confidence in me to lead the agency during this historic time. I also want to thank @SenateAgGOP and the U.S. Senate for a smooth and speedy confirmation, @DavidSacks for his leadership in revitalizing American entrepreneurship, innovation, and productivity by modernizing legacy regulations and cutting red tape, @SECPaulSAtkins and @HesterPeirce for their guidance, wisdom, and mentorship during my time at @SECGov , @CarolineDPham for her strong stewardship of the CFTC as Acting Chairman, @giancarloMKTS for setting an example of principled governance that inspired me to follow in his footsteps, and all who supported me throughout the process. Today begins a new chapter for the CFTC. We are at a unique moment as a wide range of novel technologies, products, and platforms are emerging, retail participation in the commodity markets is at an all-time high, and Congress is poised to send digital asset market structure legislation that will cement the U.S. as the Crypto Capital of the World to the President’s desk. I welcome the vital responsibility to oversee the stability and security of America’s commodity derivatives markets during this period of rapid transformation. No agency is better suited to pioneer common-sense rules of the road for the new financial markets of America’s Golden Age than the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Under my leadership, the CFTC will conquer these great frontiers and ensure that the innovations of tomorrow are Made in America. Onwards.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / 袙芯谢芯写懈屑懈褉 袟械谢械薪褋褜泻懈泄 @ZelenskyyUa Since last night, Russia has been carrying out a massive attack on Ukraine – primarily targeting our energy sector and civilian infrastructure, essentially the entire infrastructure of daily life. Over 650 drones have already been launched, a significant number of them “shaheds.” More than 30 missiles were also used. As of now, air raid alerts remain in effect across most of Ukraine. At the same time, all necessary services are engaged in dealing with the aftermath of the strike. Tragically, lives were lost. In the Kyiv region, a woman was killed by a Russian drone. One person was pronounced dead in the Khmelnytskyi region. In the Zhytomyr region, a four-year-old child was killed after a Russian drone struck a residential building. My condolences to the families and loved ones. Overall, at least thirteen regions have already come under attack. A significant number of drones and missiles were shot down. Detailed information from the Air Force will be provided later, once all reports are received. However, there were also hits. Repair crews and energy workers are already on the ground, working to ensure normal life for people, our cities, and our communities. This Russian strike sends an extremely clear signal about Russia’s priorities. An attack ahead of Christmas, when people simply want to be with their families, at home, and safe. An attack carried out essentially in the midst of negotiations aimed at ending this war. Putin still cannot accept that he must stop killing. And that means that the world is not putting enough pressure on Russia. Now is the time to respond. Russia must be pushed toward peace and guaranteed security. We must remember that every single day, on weekdays and holidays alike, Ukraine is defending human lives. Air defense for Ukraine, funding for weapons procurement, and the supply of energy equipment are processes that do not pause for weekends. We must remain committed to protecting life in order to finally achieve peace. Thank you to everyone who is helping Ukraine! Thank you to every leader and every politician who will not remain silent today and who will condemn Russia for what it has done.
As for the front. The situation is under the control of our military, and I am grateful to our warriors. Pokrovsk – the situation remains unchanged; only the numbers change. According to our estimates, there are about 1,100 Russians inside Pokrovsk. Our numbers are roughly at the same level. There are large numbers both inside the city and on its outskirts, but we are talking specifically about those who have entered the city and whom our forces are fighting. Our positions are being defended. Over the past month, the situation has not changed – the only difference is the number of personnel inside Pokrovsk. As for Myrnohrad, there is heavy pressure from Russia there, but our forces are holding their positions. Our troops have advanced in Kupyansk. Clearing operations are ongoing over a distance of about half a kilometer. The operation there is being conducted properly. Today, we control Kupyansk. There are Russians there; our military estimates their number at up to 100 people. That is, there are not many of them left – perhaps 80 to 100 – but all of them are there temporarily. Regarding Huliaipole, briefly: the situation there has remained unchanged over the past week. It was difficult, but as of today the situation has stabilized.
@ZelenskyyUa As for the strikes. When the Germans and the Americans proposed a Christmas ceasefire, there was nothing new in the fact that the Russians immediately jumped in and said: no, we do not want anything like that. The problem is that when Russia says there will be no Christmas ceasefire, that is, in principle, always what they say – they deliberately underscore such statements. After these signals from them, I instructed our intelligence services to significantly step up their work and get a clear picture of where we stand. We understand that precisely on these days they may – this is in their nature – carry out massive strikes on Christmas. And today we had a Staff meeting on this, and the number one issue was air defense: the protection of our cities, villages, and communities, especially on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This needs to be paid attention to. The military must pay attention directly, ensure protection as much as they can. Everything is very difficult, because there is, unfortunately, a shortage of air defense systems. And people also need to pay attention – serious attention – during these days, because these “comrades” may launch such strikes – there is nothing sacred for them. As for our air defense systems. Ukraine is working on this. Here, everything depends on the technical capabilities of our specialists and how quickly they will be able to do this. But air defense systems cannot be created instantly. We are close to the relevant results. We want the war to end, and we will continue to strengthen ourselves. We are working on a strong contract with the Americans for dozens – several dozen – Patriot systems, to be procured through various programs. All of this work is ongoing, and I am confident there will be results.
Russian forces forcibly took 52 people from a village in Ukraine’s Sumy region to Russia, including children. President @ZelenskyyUa said the civilians had remained in Hrabovske after refusing evacuation. When Russian troops entered the village, residents were seized and transported to the Russian Federation. Hrabovske is a border village located just 200 meters from the border. Among those taken, reports indicate around 17 were men of draft age, while the rest were women and children. Ukrainian servicemen were also reported captured. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister @andrii_sybiha has demanded the return of the civilians and called on states and international organizations to help secure their return. Children must be brought home, not held by the aggressor state.
