Austria's Industrial Production Increases In October
(RTTNews) - Austria's industrial output grew 7.1% year-on-year in October after adjusting to working day variations, Statistics Austria said Thursday. Month-on-month, production fell a seasonally adjusted 1%.
The production index, including construction output, increased a working day-adjusted 5.2% on an annual basis. Meanwhile, construction output fell 2.8%.
At the same time, production of input materials recorded a growth of 9.5% and energy production fell 2.8%.
Production in capital goods industry climbed 11.5% and that in durable consumer goods industry rose 0.9%. Output of non-durable consumer goods recorded an annual growth of 3.2% during the month.
Compared to September, the production index decreased a seasonally adjusted 1% in October. Production in construction also declined 1%.
