Czech Central Bank Maintains Key Interest Rates

(RTTNews) - The Czech central bank maintained the benchmark two-week repo rate unchanged at the record low of 0.75% for a fifth consecutive meeting on Wednesday. The decision came in line with economists' expectations.
The Czech National Bank also retained its other interest rates. The discount rate was kept at 0.25% and the Lombard rate was left unchanged at 1.75%.
Inflation remained at an 18-month high of 2% for the third straight month in November. The central bank has forecast inflation at 2% in the fourth quarter of next year and at 1.9% during the first three months of 2012.
