Finland's Manufacturing Turnover Rises In Q3

(RTTNews) - Finland's manufacturing turnover increased 11.9% year-on-year in the quarter ended September, Statistics Finland said Wednesday. During this period, the turnover in services grew 7.7% from a year ago.
The statistical office said that domestic manufacturing sales rose 8.6% annually in the third quarter, while exports turnover for the industry climbed 15%.

(RTTNews) - Finland's manufacturing turnover increased 11.9% year-on-year in the quarter ended September, Statistics Finland said Wednesday. During this period, the turnover in services grew 7.7% from a year ago.
The statistical office said that domestic manufacturing sales rose 8.6% annually in the third quarter, while exports turnover for the industry climbed 15%.
The growth was the strongest in mining and quarrying industry with the turnover rising 28.1% annually. A year ago, turnover in mining and quarrying had declined 11.5%. In chemical industry, total turnover grew 20% compared to a 29.7% fall during the third quarter last year.
In Finnish service sector, transportation and storage enterprises continued to be the growth engines as their turnover grew 12.6% from third quarter last year.
Separately, the statistical office reported that the turnover of construction enterprises in the third quarter was 3% higher than a yea earlier. In building construction, turnover increased 6.3% year-on-year, while turnover in civil engineering dipped 7.8%. Turnover of specialized construction activities rose 4.3% annually.
