Slovenia Inflation Accelerates In December

(RTTNews) - Slovenia's inflation rose to 1.9% in December from 1.4% in November, latest data from the statistical office showed Thursday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew 0.1% following a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
Inflation for the whole year was 1.8%, the statistical office said. In December, prices of food and alcoholic beverages grew 2.2% annually, while clothing and footwear prices declined 0.1%.

(RTTNews) - Slovenia's inflation rose to 1.9% in December from 1.4% in November, latest data from the statistical office showed Thursday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew 0.1% following a 0.3% increase in the previous month.
Inflation for the whole year was 1.8%, the statistical office said. In December, prices of food and alcoholic beverages grew 2.2% annually, while clothing and footwear prices declined 0.1%.
Prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco grew 8.1%, while annual growth in transport charges amounted to 0.3%. Costs of housing, water and electricity was 8.3% higher than last year. Meanwhile, inflation, as measures by the harmonized index of consumer prices, was 2.2% during the month, up from 1.6% in the previous month. On a monthly basis, HICP grew 0.2%. The 12-month average rate of HICP inflation was 2.1% in December.
