(RTTNews) - M2 money stock in Japan was up 2.3 percent on year in December, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday, standing at 782.3 trillion yen.
That missed forecasts for a 2.6 percent annual increase that would have been unchanged from the previous month.
M3 money stock was up 1.8 percent on year to 1,082.9 trillion yen, also shy of expectations for a 2.0 percent annual increase. M3 rose 2.0 percent on year in November.
L money stock rose 0.1 percent on year to 1,444.8 trillion yen after adding an annual 0.2 percent a month earlier.
