Japanese Dec Eco Watchers Current Conditions Rise Further

(RTTNews) - Japan's current conditions improved for the second consecutive month in December, Economy Watchers survey results from the Cabinet Office showed Wednesday.

The current conditions index rose to 45.1 from 43.6 in November. Assessment of future economic assessment also improved in December to 43.9 from 41.4 in the previous month.
The Cabinet Office forecasts the Japanese economy to expand 1.5% in the year starting April 2011, down from 3.1% in 2010. The economy grew a better-than-expected 1.1% on a quarterly basis between July and September 2010.
