(RTTNews) - U.K. M4 money supply decreased 0.8% month-on-month in November after adjusting to seasonal variations, data from Bank of England showed Wednesday. In October, money supply was up 0.7%. Year-on-year, the M4 money supply dropped 1.4% during the month, faster than a 0.8% fall in the previous month.
M4 lending also recorded a decline, falling 1.4% month-on-month in November, reversing a 1.1% growth in the previous month. Year-on-year, the decrease was 2% in November following a 1.1% fall in October.
At the same time, M4 lending, excluding the effects of securitizations etc., fell 1.4% from the previous month. On an annual basis, it dropped 2.2%, following a 1.5% fall in October.
