LONDON (MarketWatch)
France's third-quarter growth increased at a slightly lower level than forecast.
The National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies said Friday that gross domestic product in the euro-zone nation was up 0.3% versus 0.4%, quarter over quarter.
The forecast was for 0.4% growth.
Earlier this month, Standard & Poor's placed France on credit watch, suggesting that a downgrade could happen soon.
