France sells T-bills, yields remain near lows

FRANKFURT (MarketWatch)
France on Tuesday sold 8.7 billion euros ($11.3 billion) of short-dated Treasury bills, with yields edging up slightly from low levels seen in an auction in late 2011.
France's public debt agency said it sold 4.4 billion euros of 3-month bills at an average weighted yield of 0.023%, up from 0.005% in a Dec. 19 sale.
It also sold 2.2 billion euros of six-month bills at a rate of 0.074%, up from 0.034% in December, and 2.1 billion euros of 12-month bills at a rate of 0.136%, down from 0.176%.
