Dow extends winning streak to four; Nasdaq closes in the red


SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch)
U.S. stocks managed moderate gains in low volume Monday, pushing the Dow Jones Industrial Average  to its fourth straight win
The Dow average rose 37.69 points, or 0.3%, to 12,959.71, its longest string of gains since the win streak ended Jan. 20
The S&P 500 inched up 0.22 point to 1,371.09
The Nasdaq Composite fell 4.68 points, or 0.2%, to 2,983.66
New York Stock Exchange volume was 611 million with 3 billion NYSE-listed shares trading hands, or about 80% of the last month's average
With a light U.S. economic and corporate calendar, investors traded cautiously ahead of bigger events this week, including Tuesday's Federal Reserve meeting
